If your pet is a member of the family and you care about receiving only your pet's cremated remains back, you bring them to a private cremation facility like Companions Forever. The business model is one pet at a time, mirroring the human model in the funeral industry. The facility is modern, updated and nicer than many funeral homes I've been in. Staff, especially Russ, are sensitive to the needs of the grieving pet owners. There is no rush on saying goodbye in their tastefully decorated, private room. There are no trash or plastic bags to hold your pet in, there are comfortable and dignified blankets, wicker baskets and industry standard cots. This is not a facility for disposal, it's a facility for final disposition. If you are coming from out-of-town and want to return home the same day with your pet's remains, the turnaround time is a mere few hours. Highly recommend this business, they do right by treating your pet with dignity and respect, even after they are gone.

I had the pleasure of working with Marc to cremate our beloved cat, Fat-Fats. Marc made the experience so calming and professional. He treated my cat like family and also us like family. They have a very nice place with a comfort room where he placed Fat-Fats in a basket so we could say our final goodbyes. We received her ashes in less than 24 hours with a memory bag--even on a weekend. I literally COULD NOT say THANK YOU enough!!!

My best buddy passed away unexpectedly last Thursday after having surgery. I was devastated, being in such a painful place i was really not able to think clearly about what to do for his after care and just said yes when asked if i wanted to use the vet's cremation service, by Monday i was thinking more clearly and called the vet's to ask about getting him home only to find out that he hadn't even been picked up yet and it would be sometime during the week before he would be picked up and wouldn't be returned until sometime the next week. I was just sick to hear this then i remember seeing something on Fb about Companions Forever Pet Cremation Services i called and talked to Russ explaining my situation and was so relieved when he said they could come pick up my best friend and have him back home the same evening! They went above and beyond my expectations with their compassionate and respectful care of my beautiful fur baby. I have been telling everyone about them and how they really took a huge amount of stress off my mind. I can't thank them enough and will use them again when my last 12 year old fur baby's time comes.

I am so thankful for the incredible service at Companions Forever Pet Cremation Service. I had to make the incredibly hard decision to put my cocker spaniel, Hogan, down as he was suffering from cancer. I was able to coordinate and arrange pick up of Hogan’s body that very same day after my vet assisted him over the Rainbow Bridge. I live closer to the twin cities, but Russ was able to meet me so that I didn’t have to keep Hogan’s body in a freezer at the vet. It gives me a lot of comfort knowing Hogan was individually cremated and treated with such care. I received his ashes immediately along with a special paw print and lock of his fur. They also provided a special coloring book for my 6yo so that she too can grieve Hogan’s passing. Thank you so much for allowing for a more comforting experience during such a difficult time when losing a pet.

I chose this provider initially simply because they took text messages. We messaged around 7:15 in the morning on a Sunday after discovering our senior cat had passed overnight. They phoned us within 5-15 minutes and were ready to meet as early as 8 am. On a Sunday, in St. Cloud! Their service was thoughtful, empathetic and top-notch. We got the ashes the following day in a lovely wood box with engravings, accompanied by a photo of Professor, a hair clipping, and paw print. They assembled a very nice little gift bag for us to take with us. From first touch to uh, end product? it was clear they had paid a great deal of attention to their customer’s experience, emotionally and in terms of paying attention to details. Losing a pet is never ever easy but when the people who help you through the process genuinely care, it’s very comforting. Thank you Companions Forever.

Our best buddy died about 24 hours ago in the wee hours of the morning. We were all devastated, not sure what to do. We found these guys online. They answered the phone @ 4:00am and said we could bring him in right away! They took care of everything, very affordably and even made up a nice "in memory of" card complete with picture. Companions Forever were incredibly supportive and compassionate on the worst day of my life. When my best friend passed last Sunday, they were there for me and my wife, making us feel like the only people in the world, and showing love and respect to - not just the memory of my cat - but to the cat himself.They cremate your loved one alone, which sounds obvious, but it's important to know that you're getting your best buddy's ashes, without getting a piece of someone else's friend.

They gave us as much time as we needed to grieve in a private room that has a comforting ambiance, and with posters that absolutely will make you cry (but like, in a good way.)Price is obviously not what you're thinking about in the moment, but I never got the feeling that I was being taken advantage of, in the moment I'd be easiest to take advantage of.

It's kind of macabre to say this, but I'll absolutely be sure to use their services in the future.

It's such a hard thing, losing a beloved pet when they cross the Rainbow Bridge. When our pup Penny left us, I was unprepared for the level of grief. The caring team at Companions Forever, brought so much compassion, understanding and kindness into our grief.

They met us at the clinic prior to Penny's euthanasia, waited for us as long as we needed and gently removed Penny's body on a wheeled stretcher covered in a blanket to their professional transport van... Not wrapped in plastic, not handled roughly or put in a car trunk.They treated Penny with the gentle respect all pets and their families deserve. Penny's cremation was performed by experienced and caring people. I am confident that her cremation was just Penny alone and that the lovely carved wood box we received is Penny, just Penny, not a mix of other pets.We received her remains (and more kind hugs) in just a few days.

Companions Forever saved a bit of Penny's fur and did a final footprint for us on one of our favorite photos of her that they printed.
Such a hard time was made a bit softer, a bit kinder and a bit gentler by Companions Forever.
